Nothing All Buttons Showing Full Or Nill“I want to lose weight, but I don’t want to eat right.”

“I need to get a job, but I don’t feel like going on interviews.”

“I want my business to grow, but I am not willing to make cold calls.”

You can’t really pick and choose the good parts only when it comes to achieving a goal. As a matter of fact, you probably wouldn’t be in business (or sales) if it was an easy job to do.

Too often I hear business professionals stave off the difficult tasks in hopes that they will magically get done. It doesn’t work that way. You have two options when it comes to tackling the difficult tasks. You can either suck it up and do them, or you can hire someone to do them for you. But hoping for a third result is really jjst a recipe for disaster. Realistically,  if you are waiting on the third, just quit now and save yourself the issues later.

Below are a few tips when facing the difficult to-do’s of your business (or even just your day).

  1.  Have a plan on how you will tackle them. Just attempting to do them can be tough but if you plan your mission, it can be much easier to accomplish. Here is a previous post I shared on planning (Dominate Your Day by Planning It).
  2.  Remember that you have overcome that challenge before. Whether it is cold-calling, following up on a stale lead, or asking your current client for a referral to a new one, you’ve been there before. Success can be easily replicated if you remember how you achieved it before.
  3.  Hire someone to do it for you. This definitely varies with the task(s) at hand, but hiring outside support is much easier than you think. I currently have to virtual assistants that support much of what I do and I believe they have been key to growth in 2014 for me. If you need help hiring a virtual assistant, let’s talk!

So to review…You don’t get to pick the good parts only! You need to do whatever it takes (ethically) to succeed! There are ways to overcome the challenges you face everyday!
